Is unlocking legal? Answer:- Yes! Unlocking is 100% legal! It is not to be confused with mobile unblocking (i.e. for stolen or lost phones), which is illegal. For more information please see the Met Police website www.met.police.uk/mobilephone/unlocking.htm
My phone is blocked, can you unblock it so it will work again? Answer:- No. Unblocking is illegal and involves changing the serial / IMEI number of a handset. If a phone has been blocked in it's lifetime, it's probably been reported lost or stolen. You can check if a handset is blocked at www.checkmend.com or by making a call using an accepted sim - if the phone works on the network it's locked to, it's not blocked, however if you see Call Failed or a similar message, the phone is likely to be blocked or faulty - in either case, please do not order an unlock code for it, as the phone will become unlocked, but will still be blocked. Note: We will not issue a refund if your handset turns out to be blocked so it's recommended that you check before buying a code.

How will I receive my unlock code? Answer:- By email and on screen by clicking TRACK YOUR ORDER. Delivery times are shown on the Home Page next to each service.
Do I need to send in my phone? Answer:- No, unlocking information is provided by email and on screen. For all unlock codes we provide remote unlocking which means you simply enter the code into your handset which will remove any sim-locks present.
How can I find the IMEI number? Answer:- The IMEI number is usually displayed by typing *#06# and is also shown on a sticker underneath the battery.
I haven’t received my unlock code, what do I do? Answer:- Please login using your handsets IMEI / serial number using the Track Your Order link on the top of every page to view your unlock code on-screen or Contact Us.
My phone is asking for a SIM PUK code. What does this mean? Answer:- If a phone is asking for a SIM PUK code, this means that there have been 3 invalid attempts on entering the SIM cards PIN number. This means the sim card is blocked. The network provider (e.g. Vodafone) will provide the PUK code to the account holder, usually free of charge. Unlocking your handset will not bypass this message.
Once my phone is unlocked, what networks can I use. Answer:- When you have unlocked your phone, you are free to use any network in any country (providing the phone supports the network you wish to use).
Is unlocking perminant? Answer:- Yes, after an unlock code is entered into your handset, it will be perminantly unlocked. You will never have to enter the unlock code again.
I've visited a local mobile unlocking shop and they have told me that it's not possible to unlock my handset, but you say you can? Answer:- Many unlocking shops use cables and software to unlock handsets. The latest handsets are proving to be much more difficult to unlock via this method as security and software is much harder to crack on these handsets. The codes we supply are pre-programmed into the handset by the manufacturer for the sole purpose of unlocking the handset. This means there is no cracking software or tampering with security settings or the firmware of the phone. With our contacts in Manufacturers and Networks, we obtain the original unlock code for the phone, which is guaranteed to unlock it with the genuine unlock procedure of the handset, as designed by the manufacturer. Many unlocking shops now use our trade services which enable them to unlock phones by code, rather than traditional cable.
